Put enemies OUTSIDE of res portal
How about we try not to put massive mobs of enemies ON the damn respawn spots?

Numerous places, but the one currently pissing me off is just outside Droks. I go to kill some trolls, die, and respawn with a whole troupe of Avicara apparently waiting at the spawning point just for that purpose. I finally killed them all by spawning, poisoning one of them, getting killed, rinse and repeat.

Crap like this has pissed me off to no extent on multiple occations. SF has it the worst, though it can be found almost everywhere. Maybe they should impliment some sort of Ward Against Everything around spawn shrines, and while under the effects of this ward, you can't attack or use any skills that target enemies. Might help cut down on the infinite cycle of rape that occurs from time to time in PvE.
EDIT:Of course, in order to minimize the posibility of this being abused, you'd have to rig it so that it only effects you when you rez and once you leave it, it won't work for that player again until the next time they die.

Yeah this is annoying...have them automatically run from spawn portal...or impossible for them to be 15 steps by it...because sometimes when we are resed they just kill you again...and again...

Why? Well, if you don't die, then it's not a problem. Joking aside, even if you get mobbed, defeated, and then mobbed repeatedly at the spawn point, it'll test your build like nothing else (obvious exception being PvP). I say leave it like it is, and fight on.
Granted, it is kinda anoying. Not game breaking, just map travel to the nearest town and try again.

Agreed this does happen is a few places and could do with being looked at, but the example given just outside droks isn't a big deal IMO that group leave you alone if you use any run skill and do not pursue at all they just bunch together.

I like a "Ward Against Everything" type of thing. Maybe this "ward" would also put pacifism on you so you cant take advantage and attack from it.

I think one of the worst spots for this thing is the droks side of rankor at the spawn point nearest rankor.....the ginourmous crowd of avicara with some Azure shadows thrown in for the extra anger inducing deaths...

Was capping skills in Perdition yesterday with henchies, wasn't made any easier when we kept spawning literally on top of 6 hydra and 12 golems... fastest 60% DP I've ever gotten =\

That's an ok solution sometimes, but sometimes before you die you see that drop you've been waiting for, and there's no way you're gonna let some punk-ass AI stiff you outta your loot.
That's what happened to me... in my case I was trying to farm wood so I could make some Vellum. There were like 3 raven staves laying around up there, that's a lotta wood!

Fun trying to get to Marhan's Grotto, die close to it, and respawn right next to it as well... With dozen of mursaat elementalists right next to it. Resurrection in 00:01... 00:00... "yay I'm alive!" *ZAP* Resurrection in 00:10...
Thank god they are patrolling tho Too bad the Ice Imps behind the resurrection spot wander a bit too.. wee.

Resurrecting this thread because it's become murderous in the realm of torment. Currently I'm trying to cap a few skills from the Depths of Madness. It's not that hard of an area, if aggro is controlled and the patrols are watched. Truly it isn't.
There are patrols all over the place, this isn't a problem. With careful pulling and so on, you avoid double agro and keep on going just as you do. You can even take a party wipe or two.
Here's the problem. I have a life outside Guild Wars, it requires me to alt -tab to do other things, it requires me to leave my computer, it requires me to go AFK. I'm using heroes because they put up with that, it's not fair on PUGs to put up with someone who goes AFK all the time (and they might just be better than the average PUG but anyway).
I go AFK, there's really nowhere I can hide my character so I get wiped by a patrol. Fair enough, it happens. It's when I come back to a team that I left on +2 morale to a team that is entirely on 60 DP that it gets annoying. Not only that, there's also a lot of Arms of Insanity sitting in front of me. When I say a lot I'm talking 10+. The hench/heroes res at the shrine, cop aggro, start attacking and hit something. In fact they've worked off everything except the Arms. They're now trying on the arms, they get one down to about 25%, it throws up lightning and Call to the Torment and by this time the hench have party wiped.
This keeps going on and on. The arms keep multiplying. I come back and find that the place is impossible to play, even with my direction the hench can't drop a arm in less than 5 seconds and as soon as that invulnerability drops I get hit by 10 barrages which party wipes me again. Oh that, Arm is down to 25 and hitting call to the torment. If I'm really unlucky it's bleeding and it uses call twice while I'm down.
This isn't a problem with the difficulty of the area, I have no issues with that at all (infact I like it). It's not a problem with the skillsets either. It's a problem with the res-shrine camping of the enemies. I've tried to get this elite skill three times now - every time I've had to leave I've come back to find the same problem. Is Golden Skull Strike only allowed for those who can sit at a computer for an hour without a break A-Net? Hold on, those warnings told me to take a break...
